Hello! My name is Martina and I am a PROUD fat, queer, trans, non-binary, and neurodivergent artist & library worker living in Sonoma County, California. My artwork reflects my spirit and acts as a portal into another world where anything is possible. I make art to reflect the things that I need most in this world: love, kindness, acceptance, hope, queerness, and magic.
My pronouns are they/them
I’ve been an artist my whole life and even studied it in college! Unfortunately, that left me with the gnarliest of burnout that lasted for near on a decade. Always a crafty lad, I still created during that time. But my relationship with drawing and creating art for art’s sake was damaged and in need of healing. So, I started planting the seeds of my creativity in 2018. It’s been a long journey (and it’s never truly over), but I have come a long way!
The friendships I have forged since moving to Sonoma County have brought me feelings of joy, safety, and inspiration. The exact ingredients I needed to step forth into the world as a fully formed and self-accepted artist. I am so grateful for them! Their strength and vulnerability fortify me to do the same. I truly would not be where I am without all of the wonderful people that I love so dearly. Thank you for being in my life! Now, let’s make some art! 🙂
